Kellie Krueger (Egging) is a contralto who specializes in rock, metal, opera, jazz and contemporary vocals. Originally from Colorado, Kellie received her Bachelor of Music in Voice from Western Colorado University in 2010, her Master of Music in Vocal Performance Pedagogy from Arizona State University in 2014, and has completed her first year of study in her Doctorate of Musical Arts in Voice at ASU. Favorite roles performed during her degrees include Sorceress (Dido & Aeneas, ASU, 2014), Tisbe (La Cenerentola Act I, ASU, 2015), and Marquise (La Fille du Regiment Act II, ASU, 2014). Kellie has performed internationally as well, having sung the role of Kathi in the German operetta "Im Weissen Rossl" (Mittelsachsisches Theater: Freiberg, Germany, 2013) and in the chorus of Iolanthe (Gilbert & Sullivan, Queensland Conservatorium: Brisbane, Australia, 2009).
Since moving to Los Angeles in 2015, Kellie has performed locally in a wide variety of musical genres. She won the cover of the title role (Angelina) in La Cenerentola (Center Stage Opera, LA) in 2016. She has performed as a contralto soloist and section leader in church services around the city. She has been featured in recordings by Phillip Springer (composer of the original tune "Santa Baby") singing country, gospel, jazz and opera. Kellie has also been featured as a rock frontwoman in Soundcheck Live at Lucky Strike, Hollywood; at the Rainbow Room; and at State Social House in Weho. She currently sings, plays keyboard and guitar (an instrument she has taken up this year) in MANGUSTA, a local LA rock band.
