Samuel Nordrum's career showcases a life dedicated to education, music, and art, hailed by his peers for the development and implementation of locally and nationally recognized efforts with regional non-profit arts education entities as well as secondary and higher education institutions.
At the core of nearly three decades as an operations manager is a violinist and conductor trained in orchestral music. Mentored by violinists of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and Detroit Symphony Orchestras, Mr. Nordrum performs as a section violinist and conductor with municipal, regional, freelance orchestras and chamber ensembles throughout Southern California. His most recent conducting appearance featured the Young Musicians Choral Orchestra Faculty Ensemble with the west coast premiere of composer Olly Wilson's If We Must Die from his "Of Visions and Truth" song cycle.
Mr. Nordrum makes his home in South Orange County, California, where he currently serves as a Resident Performing Artist at Concordia University Irvine, an administrator with the Pacific Symphony, and private violin instructor.
