A New York native, Suzanna studied at the Hartt School of Music (University of Hartford, CT) with Renato Bonacini, and CSU Northridge with Kathleen Lenski and Manual Compinsky on violin earning a Bachelor of Music degree cum laud. She then studied viola privately with Adriana Chirilov and Alan deVeritch.
Ms. Giordano Gignac is very active in the Southern California music scene performing with such ensembles as L.A. Opera; Pasadena, Santa Barbara, Long Beach and Pacific Symphonies. As a soloist, Suzanna has appeared with the Santa Monica Chamber Orchestra, the Saddleback Chamber Players and the Calabasas Chamber Orchestra. In the early music scene, she performs with Musica Angelica, Los Angeles Baroque Orch., Santa Fe Pro Musica (NM), San Francisco Bach Choir Orch.; and has appeared with Concerto Pacifica (CA); the Texas Early Music Project, and Camerata Pacifica (Santa Barbara, CA).
Suzanna is also co-founder of the period ensemble; Angeles Consort, performing on both violin and viola. She has performed in many early music festivals abroad: Tage Alter Musik Regensberg (Germany), Brighton (England) and Mexico City Music Festivals, "Osterklang" Festival (Vienna, Austria), Winterfestspielle (Baden-Baden, Germany) and stateside: Victoria Bach Festival (Texas), Corona del Mar Bach Festival (CA) and San Luis Obispo Mozart Festival (CA) among others.
Ms. Giordano Gignac is a freelance studio musician recording for motion pictures and television. Suzanna is married to chef Jean-Luc Gignac and is mom to their 7 year old son, Luca.
