Jennifer created Instrumental Casting in 2008 to provide all types of musicians for on camera work on commercials, movies, tv shows, music videos, print work, as well as recording sessions and live events, including wrap parties. To view her complete credits, visit the Credits page.
Via Instrumental Casting, Jennifer appears as a violinist in commercials for Shiseido, T-Mobile, Fischer-Price, Tropicana Orange Juice, United Airlines, Humira and iPhoneX, on TV shows Curb Your Enthusiasm, Better Things, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia and as a Mariachi violinist on TV shows BOSCH and Chivalry. Also via Instrumental Casting, Jennifer appears as a violinist in a skit featuring Will Ferrell on the HBO show Last Week Tonight with John Oliver and in a main Keynote commercial at the 2025 Annual SAP Sapphire Convention (Systems, Applications and Products in Data Processing). SAP Sapphire is one of the most significant annual events in the tech and business world, organized by SAP, a global leader in enterprise application software. Additionally via Instrumental Casting, Jennifer played in the Hollywood Conductor's Workshop held at Pepperdine University in Malibu as well as numerous recording sessions and live engagements.
Jennifer has also appeared as 'Violinist' in numerous tv shows such as Friends and Seinfeld and has performed on hundreds of major motion picture soundtracks as well as playing on the Emmy Awards and twice on The Tonight Show with Kenny G and Natalie Cole.
She has played on hundreds of major movie soundtracks and in the notable string sections on CDs for Michael Jackson, Diana Krall, Nora Jones, Ray Charles, Barry Manilow, Faith Hill, Deadmau5 and so many more. She currently plays all over the SoCal area for all types of performances and especially loves playing with the Silver Linings Violin & Guitar Duo.
In May of 2020, during the pandemic, Jennifer created LACurbsideEntertainment.com, to bring performances to people wherever they are; on their driveways, front lawns and cul-de-sacs.
Jennifer also created Collective Media Guild in 2014, rebranded to CMG Music Recording, to provide musicians for all types of recording work here in LA. This company is no longer active. All recording work is now booked via Instrumental Casting.
Jennifer Walton began playing violin at the age of four and piano at the age of five. Continuous musical training was received from her mother, Grammy Award winning vocalist and arranger, Salli Terri, and father, John Biggs, composer and founder of the John Biggs Consort. This training was in the areas of sight-reading, theory, arranging, improvisation, ornamentation, music appreciation, and performance practices on instruments of the Renaissance and Baroque Eras.
As a young teenager, she toured throughout South America and Asia with her father's ensemble, the John Biggs Consort, performing music from the Renaissance, Baroque, Classical, and Contemporary Eras. Entering California State University, Fullerton on a piano scholarship, she double majored briefly then earned her Bachelor's Degree in Violin Performance. Jennifer has taught private violin, piano, theory, and composition lessons to all ages since 1981.
